5th edition of Nuits lyriques
Hippodrome de la Côte d'Azur
Vendredi 7 et samedi 8 juin

The 5th edition of the Nuits lyriques de l’hippodrome, a not-to-be-missed summer event highlighting the musical excellence of our young people, will be remarkable for several reasons:

Grand prix de la voix” competition, Friday June 7 at 9pm and “Soirée prodigieuse”, Saturday June 8 at 9pm.

Both events will take place in front of the grandstands at the Cagnes-sur-Mer racecourse, in the unique setting of the Côte d’Azur, in the open air with the Mediterranean as a backdrop.
During the concert, spectators will be able to vote for the candidate of their choice for the “Audience Prize”. A jury of top professionals presides over the selection process, under the artistic direction of soprano Elizabeth Vidal and bass-baritone André Cognet.

“A prodigious evening
Saturday, June 8 at 9 p.m.

In addition to the 6 prodigies performing on Saturday June 8, most of whom have been or will be winners of the France 2 TV show Prodiges, it’s the orchestra made up of the top instrumentalists from Nice’s Conservatoire à rayonnement régional which will accompany the evening under the direction of their new conductor, Arnaud Pairier, and young prodigy conductors.
The festival’s godfather is the renowned Jean Renard, composer of Johnny Halliday’s greatest hits, but with the same classical background as Ennio Moricone, Michel Legrand or Francis Lay…
Last but not least, this year’s special guest is none other than Hakob Ghasabian, 1st prodigy of the show’s singing category, elected in 2015 by jury member Elizabeth Vidal. Hakob’s participation in “The Voice” has made him a phenomenon. Thousands of followers make him a social network darling.
