Trotting will be in the spotlight at the Côte d’Azur Hippodrome’s famous Summer Meeting from Monday July 8 to Saturday August 24, 2024.


8 towns and institutions
are coming to liven up the Hippodrome and offer their residents some great evenings, as well as a fireworks display and themed evenings with a wide variety of entertainment.

July highlights

Monday, July 8, 2024 – “Villeneuve-Loubet” evening – 7 races
The town of Villeneuve-Loubet is organizing an evening of entertainment for children, tourism and culture with the Tourist Office, the Comité des fêtes and the Musée Escoffier, including a peach melba tasting for participants in the sporting challenge. The Sports Department offers an inflatable “swing shooting” structure, mini-basketball, archery, Urban Soccer with mini-football, followed by a dance show between the races and before the fireworks.

Wednesday, July 10, 2024 – “La Gaude” evening – 6 races
A variety of events highlighting the town and its know-how, with a craft village. You’ll find a jewelry designer, decorative objects made from recycled materials, a storyteller of children’s books, a ready-to-wear and women’s accessories seller, and a designer of bags and clutches, among others.

Free admission for all Gaudois on presentation of the invitation flyer or proof of address.

Saturday, July 13 – “Cagnes-sur-Mer” evening – 6 races
The town of Cagnes-sur-Mer is going to create an event on the racecourse with a pyro-melodic show by Compagnie Remue-Ménage.

Wednesday, July 17, 2024 – “Conseil Départemental des Alpes Maritimes” evening – 6 races
For the first time at the Hippodrome, an evening event is organized by the Alpes Maritimes Department, where the Department’s Tourist Offices will be offering a variety of activities: workshops, tastings of local products, porcelain painting, clay santon making, board games…

Saturday, July 20, 2024 – “Comité Départemental d’Equitation 06” evening – 6 races
An evening offered by the Comité Départemental d’Équitation 06. The program includes a variety ofequestrian-themed events, children’s activities and a closing fireworks display.

Free admission on presentation of French Equestrian Federation (FFE) license.

Ville et Métiers d’Art” evening

The famous “Villes et Métiers d’Art” evening.

The towns of Antibes, Biot, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Le Cannet, Mougins and Vallauris-Golfe-Juan will be showcasing their specialties through a series of entertainment villages showcasing the skills of their artisans.

A procession of vintage vehicles will precede the fireworks display.

Wednesday, July 24 – “Grasse” evening – 6 races
Like every summer, the town of Grasse creates a stir on the Côte d’Azur racecourse with its traditional ” soirée blanche“, as glamorous as it is festive, featuring a host of stalls showcasing local artisans, as well as entertainment for the whole family. A show featuring artists from the Jasminade, Grasse’s emblematic August event, will take place in front of the grandstands just before the fireworks.

Wednesday, July 31, 2024 – “Saint-Laurent-du-Var” evening – 6 races
The town of Saint-Laurent-du-Var returns to the Côte d’Azur racecourse for a festive evening featuring a night market and a martial arts gala. Fireworks display.

August highlights

Saturday, August 3, 2024 – “Exotic” evening – 6 races – Trotting
Dive into the exotic at our themed evening!
On the program: fun activities such as pony rides, sulky bikes and a bouncy castle inspired by a “Pirate Ship”.
Challenge yourself to traditional games such as coconut throwing and duck fishing, or test your flexibility in a limbo contest. With 15 wooden games available, fun is guaranteed for all.
You’ll also be introduced to Tahitian dance and the haka, as dancers and musicians adorn themselves in sea-inspired costumes. An exotic evening that promises unforgettable memories!

Wednesday, August 7, 2024 – “Race and Care” evening – 6 races – Trotting
A #Race&Care evening will be organized to highlight equine well-being and the conversion of racehorses.
The Cœur de Course association will be with us for the evening!
Run by Ludivine Crépeau, this association is committed to the conversion of racehorses. We put 15 boxes at its disposal, and since its establishment on the racecourse, it has succeeded in reclassifying over 500 horses in various equestrian disciplines. Cœur de Course also has a paddock, a small arena and a round pen on the Côte d’Azur racecourse.
Numerous stands will be present to promote equine well-being: nutritional advice, farrier services, a cinema area showing short films, guided tours of the racecourse (subject to availability, registration on site), carrot distribution, and osteopathy demonstrations by the ATMAN school on Coeur de Course horses. What’s more, AFSEC will also be present with its mobile race and mechanical horse, adding a playful touch to this evening dedicated to equine well-being.

Saturday, August 10, 2024 – 6 races – Trotting
Immerse yourself in a glamorous, chic evening where elegance meets fun!
Dress code mandatory for a sophisticated atmosphere from the moment you arrive.
The first 200 guests will be welcomed with a complimentary drink.
Immortalize the moment with a top-of-the-range photobooth. To entertain young and old alike, we offer a variety of activities, from pony rides and inflatables to magic booths for children.
For the more competitive, test your skills with our 15 wooden games, take part in the fashion show competition for kids and adults, or try your luck at fun games like musical chairs and bowler hat toss. Adults can also enjoy an exciting roulette game with the chance to win prizes!
Throughout the evening, let yourself be carried away by our artistic strolls, and close the evening in style with an incredible cabaret show in front of the grandstands before the final fireworks display!
The Mediterranean and Black Sea Trotting Jockeys’ Championship will take place on this evening!

Saturday, August 24, 2024 – 7 races – Trotting
It’s THE night of the 2024 summer meeting. On the one hand, with its beautiful race of the day, but also thanks to the Palio de l’amitié (a race in which each horse is associated with a city). Our partner cities are : Antibes, Biot, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Fermo, Grasse, La Gaude, Le Cannet, Malmö, Modena, Montecatini, Montegiorgio, Saint-Laurent-du-Var, Vallauris, Villeneuve-Loubet.
In addition, the racecourse once again plays host to the World Summer Cup Junior, a Trotting pony racing challenge that pits budding young drivers from Belgium, Sweden, Spain and France against tomorrow’s champions.
This year, we’ve pulled out all the stops to make it an unforgettable evening: pony rides, bike-sulky races, a “TOTEM” bouncy castle, a “flying” animation offering a virtual reality experience where you get the sensation of flying, a giant labyrinth with laser game sessions, strolling and a white parade show, and of course, a breathtaking fireworks display!
