Luncheon on the Grass in 1900 costumes
Domaine des Collettes
Sunday, September 22

Named after one of Manet’s famous paintings, and used by filmmaker Jean Renoir in his film, “Le déjeuner sur l’herbe” is repeated this year in the grounds of the Domaine Renoir during the European Heritage Days.

A convivial occasion where everyone is invited to participate in period costume (circa 1900), and to bring their own picnic, also in the style of yesteryear.
So no coolers, even for drinks (unless they’re enclosed in wicker-style wrapping or in wicker trunks), and no pets either.
And to complete the picture, don’t forget the white or checked tablecloth (or, failing that, a white sheet).
