Beaches

The coastline of Cagnes-sur-Mer offers 3.5 km of pebble beaches with several public beaches and 6 private beaches offering various services (catering, rental of mattresses, deckchairs, umbrellas …).

For your comfort, several facilities are planned: see on the map

Tobacco-Free Beaches: this summer, the entire Cagnois coastline has been awarded the “Tobacco-Free Beaches” label, with the exception of 2 areas:

  • between spur 1 and the bank of the river Loup
  • between Épi 12 and the Carré Bleu private beach

Handi-plage : rue du Capitaine de Frégate H. Vial (between the Cros-de-Cagnes shelter and the Youth Leisure Center) from the beginning of July. Wheelchairs for launching, assistance for launching into the sea, adapted toilets and showers… tel. +33 (0)6 27 26 21 44.

The safety of Cagnoises beaches is ensured during the summer by firemen lifeguards with 3 first aid stations in July / August (open every day from 9am to 7pm).

Establishment for the summer season of 2 water sports channels and a channel for windsurfers.

Our bathing waters are regularly analyzed by the environmental laboratory of the city of Nice : results of the last analyses.

Private beaches

The town of Cagnes-sur-Mer has opened 6 new private beaches offering additional high-quality services… Learn more about these beach establishments

Municipal Sailing School

From March to December: optimist, catamaran and windsurfing courses for children, teenagers or adults supervised by instructors concerned about the quality of the welcome, the proposed contents and your safety.

During school vacations: weekly courses (5 half-days)

In June, July and August and every Saturday: rental and individual lessons of catamaran, windsurf, paddle and foil board.

Cagnes Watersports

Half-day jet ski trip without a license, visits to the Lerins Islands or Saint-Jean Cap Ferrat with breakfast and free photos.

Jet ski rental 20 mn, 40 mn or 1 hour.

Water ski and wakeboard lessons from 4 years old, wakeskate, kneeboard.

All our activities are supervised by state-qualified instructors.

Gravity Riding

Gravity Riding is located on the small beach behind the harbor of Cros-de-Cagnes.

Our water sports activities are supervised by a team of state-qualified instructors (Pascal LEWEST, waterski/wakeboard coach): wakeboarding, waterskiing, wakesurfing, towed watercraft, stand-up paddle, kayaking…

Open July to October 15, 7/7, 7am to 7pm.

Walk in the sea

Jean-Louis le Pêcheur offers you sea trips on board his Speed Boat “Les 3 Canailles”.

  • Walk in the sea in the bay of Cros-de-Cagnes
  • Day trips to the island of Sainte-Marguerite and to St Tropez (departure on Saturday for St Tropez at 8am and return at 4pm)
  • Snorkeling at Cap d’Antibes and in the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer
  • Possibility of privatizing the boat with skipper on request

Traditional Row

The Amicale des romeurs du Cros-de-Cagnes practices traditional sports activities such as jousting and rowing.

The practice of traditional rowing is done all year round in competition or leisure.

Meet the rowers in the bay of Cros-de-Cagnes on Sunday, May 28, 2023 for Stella Maris and on July 1 & 2 for the Fête de la Saint-Pierre et de la Mer.

The Club Moana, a voluntary association open all year round, offers: diving school for all levels in the pool and at sea, first dive, sea trips.

School of underwater field hockey in the pool, a team sport combining freediving and technical skills.
